Our SVHS junior class is raffling off a trip to Nashville, Tennessee! One winner will win a 3-night stay at the Tempo by Hilton hotel in downtown Nashville and $500 in spending cash or flight credit. Please see any member of the junior class to purchase a ticket. Funds will go towards Prom 2025!
Meridian CUSD 223 is hosting a preschool screening for children ages 3-5 years old who live within the Meridian district. Children must be 3 years old by the screening date.

Calling all MJHS athletes. . . . girls basketball and wrestling registration is OPEN! Girls basketball is offered to girls in grades 6-8. Wrestling is open to all 6-8 students. Registration can be completed online at the following link: https://schools.snap.app/StillmanValley . Girls basketball will start as soon as we return from Winter Break. There is a flyer below with info on how to order basketball warm-up shirts, please do so ASAP. Wrestling practice will start in mid-December. The Stillman Fire Association is hosting their Candy Scramble on Saturday, Oct. 26 at 11:00 am. This year it is in the SVJH gym. There is a costume contest for all ages (Pre-K-8th) including a group category.

Our flu shot clinic is tomorrow, Tuesday Oct. 8th, from 2:30-4:30pm at MJHS! Open to all students (with parent present), families, and community members.
Boys basketball will be starting next week!
Practice will start the week of October 7th! Practice times for the following grades:
6th- 4:30-6:30 in MJHS Small Gym
7th- 2:30-4:30 in MJHS Big Gym
8th- 4:30-6:30 in MJHS Big Gym
Please use the West doors to enter for practice. There will be a Parent Meeting in the Big Gym at 4:30 PM on Oct. 7th. We understand that some students may still be playing football for the first week and are unable to attend practices. Coach Stewart won't be practicing Monday after the parent meeting but he would like to touch base with his team regarding who is playing football and will be missing some practices.
The link to order warm-up shirts is attached. The order deadline will be extended to Monday, October 7th, please order ASAP!
Students must have completed registration online, paid the activity fee, and have a current sports physical to practice!
We will host our annual flu shot clinic with the Ogle County Health Department on Tuesday, October 8th at Meridian Junior High School. The clinic is open to all students, families, and community members!
