This week, we celebrated a fantastic collaboration that started with an idea and ended with art! Our Student Council, led by Micki Hoefle, recently held a "Shark Tank" style presentation to find creative ways to improve MJHS.

The winning concept? A school mural! Mrs. Rippentrop and our talented 8th-grade Art students took that vision and brought it to life. We can’t wait to have this masterpiece on display for everyone to enjoy.

Our 8th grade Student Council members and 8th Grade Art students presented the project to the Board of Education on Wednesday evening.

Today was a special day of connection and inspiration! Our Lighthouse Team at Meridian Junior High had the wonderful opportunity to visit Highland Elementary School for Drop Everything and Read Day. 📚✨

Our students loved sharing their time and stories with the younger readers, helping spark imagination and a love for books. It was incredible to see leadership, kindness, and confidence shine through.

We’re so proud of our Lighthouse Team for being role models and making a positive impact in our school community. And a big thank you to Highland Elementary for welcoming us! We can’t wait to do it again!

Our Pi Day assembly was a total success, proving once and for all that while Pi is infinite, our teachers' patience for getting hit with whipped cream is… significantly shorter. Huge shoutout to our recitation winner, Adele Vaughn, for memorizing more digits than most of us have contacts in our phones! Adele recited 222 digits of Pi!!
