Be Ahead of the Game - Get Your Sport Physicals!

A MESSAGE FROM ATHLETIC DIRECTOR MRS. JEPSEN

Fall sports seasons will be starting soon! Below you will find information regarding registration and practice dates and times!

Steps to Register:

1. Visit Meridian223.org and click on 8 to 18 (basketball icon) to register.

2. Complete the online registration forms.

3. Sports physicals must be turned in to the office for students to practice.

4. Pay the registration fee- this can be done online at the time of registration or use waiver code waiver2425 and send payment to the school office.

Fall Sports Practice Dates:

Cross Country: -First Practice: 8/19 2:30-4:00, Parent meeting at 4:00 in Room 217.

Practice Schedule: Monday-Friday 2:30-4:15, students will meet in room 217 after school.

Volleyball: 6th Grade -First Practice: 8/19 2:30-4:30 at Monroe Center School, parent meeting at 4:30 Practice Schedule: Monday- Friday 2:30-4:30, students will be bussed to Monroe Center school and can be picked up at 4:30 out front.

7th & 8th Grade

8/13- 7th and 8th grade practice together 3-4:30 (*This is a change from the original email! Sorry!) -8/14- 7th & 8th grade will practice together after school from 2:30-4:30 and the parent meeting will follow at 4:30. -Practice Schedule for remainder of season-

7th Grade- Monday-Friday 2:30-4:30

8th Grade- Monday-Friday 4:30-6:30

All registered athletes have been added to Rooms- if you have already downloaded the Meridian CUSD app you will start to see communication from your child’s coach soon.

• Admissions to most games are as follows: 

  Adults $3, Senior Citizens & Students (other than MJHS Students) $2, MJHS Students are free (see below)

• Please do not bring in food or beverages.  Please purchase those at our concession stand.

• MJHS students get in FREE to all home MJHS athletic events.  Doors open 30 minutes before game time.  We have noticed a large number of students staying in town after school on the home game nights going to Casey's and the park.  We just want to make sure parents know this is happening and that these students are not allowed in the school until 3:30.  

• Please understand that we cannot accept $50 or $100 bills for entry into events or at the concession stand.  We often do not have available change for large bills on hand.

  
  

  Before your child's athletic team season starts, please complete the following:

• A current sports physical on file at the JH office.  Physicals are good for 1 year.

  • Register online at the following link:  Athletics/Activities Registration

  • Pay the $35 fee either online when you register (fastest and easiest) or use payment code waiver2425 and comment how you will pay the fee or if you are free/reduced for fees.
